Sunderland 0-2 Aston Villa

From news.bbc.co.uk:

The 23-year-old, who on current form looks a certainty to be in Fabio Capello's England World Cup squad next summer, collected the ball on the left, held off the challenge of Kieran Richardson and then launched an unstoppable drive into the top corner from fully 25 yards.

From sportsillustrated.cnn.com:

...

Which, curiously, is what he appears to have done at the end of 2009, when there were tantalizing indications that perhaps, just perhaps, the former World Player of the Year might still be capable of getting back up there. From www.cbssports.com:

"North Carolina does a great job of pressuring and swarming the ball," Stanford coach Paul Ratcliffe said. "It's easy to talk about as a coach, what you need to do. But it's difficult in there. It was hard for us to get into a rhythm and play our type of soccer."

...

That left short-handed Stanford's chances of a rally to second-leading scorer Christen Press, and she nearly tied it with a 20-yard shot that Harris punched away.

From www.cnn.com:

(CNN) -- On Wednesday night, TP Mazembe, a Congolese team hailing from the country's second city of Lubumbashi, and New Zealand's Auckland City FC will play a FIFA Club World Cup fifth place play-off in an unseasonably wet and no doubt half-empty stadium in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.

...

The tournament has long been seen as an inconvenience to the fans of the top European teams, thanks to the fact that it falls in the middle of the domestic season. The schedules have been tweaked accordingly: Barcelona will be parachuted in for the semi-finals, needing only two games to win the title.
